~~Meena~~ "Well, if I remember rightly, we're waiting for dinner," Meena told her. "Someone will be telling us what to do then, and we'll move into our dorm rooms. Now is for checking everyone came and for us to mingle. At least, that's what I was told" ~Miriam~ "Guess that's what I get for not paying attention. So where's the food?" Miriam grumbled.

~~Meena~~ "Mess Hall," Meena said automatically, remembering back. "That building we saw across the courtyard. It will be closed right now, as it is between meals. It will open for dinner at 1930 and close again at 2100."

~~Meena~~ Meena didn't have a timepiece on her, so she looked around. There, up near the ceiling! that's what she was after. "1629," she said, gesturing to the clock.

"1630" Smurf muttered to himself. He sat by him self, people seemed to be avoiding him. Possibly because he was acting paranoid. Well, had a reason for that. Soon these girls would to. He was feeling un-characteristically immature. He pulled a spud-gun out of his pocket. He looked at it fondly. It was an antique in this day and age, but it still amused him. He took careful aim and as close as he could get to being just in front of Meena's nose and fired. Oh, he would probably regret it. He already was, but it was worth it. He was a good shot too. He doubted he would miss.
(I sooo swear I wrote that bit in italics already.)

~~Katy~~ Katy saw someone sitting in the corner aiming what appeared to be some sort of antique gun at Aramina. Serves her right, she thought, still miffed. Even more so because she and the other girl seemed to be talking fine right now, even if Aramina still seemed stiff and uncomfortable.

((Okay, ONE censoring skip. It isn't a swear word anyway.))
Damn. Somebody had seen. He looked at her, he couldn't gather much about her from where he was. Hopefully she wouldn't report him.
And what if they did? He could cope being kicked out.
Even so, he didn't want to be. He had thought he had. But he had been here for so little time! He had yet to get used to it! Wait. He wouldn't be kicked out for shooting a spud-gun. Surely not...

((I think it's one of those guns that fires bits of spud. Frankly, I can't post untill he's made up his mind.))

((Made up my mind? I did say that I thought I had made it clear that I'd fired. Now that I looked again I don't know what possessed me to think that it was clear. It wasn't, and I apologize. A spud gun is a small gun (it's not really a gun) that shoots bits of whatever you can fit in it at people. I edited the post anyway. REALLY sorry for the inconvenience.))

~~Meena~~ Meena heard the gun fire just before she saw something fly past her nose. She jumped in startlement and whirled around to the direction the sound had come from. There, in the corner, sat a boy on his own, holding a gun. From the lack of people around him, Meena decided she could safely guess as to who it was that had shot at her. "That was hardly necessary," she called to him across the room. You could have hurt someone, she almost added, but that was quite possibly his intent.

"I quite agree," Miriam said coldly. "Please, put it away."

That is some nerve, to smile after he almost hurt someone. If only... if only. "Wipe that smirk off your face!" Miriam demanded.
((Can the time please move along? This: getting boring.))

((Lol I thought we'd interact a bit first. Obviously, you lot don't appreciate the attempt. BTW - I don't think mainstreet knows me as Mel.))
~~Meena~~ Meena rolled her eyes at the idiot that had tried to shoot her. "If you'll excuse me, I think I'll head somewhere else now." Finally, she was out of there. Using a few tricks she had picked up over the years, she weaved through the crowd, alternately using cover and presentation techniques to escape notice. Eventually, she found a quiet corner just outside the building to rest. Inside was just too noisy right now. It seemed like only five minutes untill the tone sounded that called them to dinner. Standing, Meena looked around to try find the mess hall again, then headed towards it.

Miriam saw Aramina leaving and figured that it wouldn't be smart to chase after her. I'll probably see her again.
When the sound for dinner rang, Miriam looked around and decided to follow the crowd, hoping the Crowd knew what it was doing...

((Lol nice one. ;D))
~~Meena~~ The room was massive, with rows of long tables covering most of the space. Even the large group of first-year cadets was dwarfed by its size. Meena picked her way to a corner seat on a table on the far side of the room. The stage up the other end was already set up with a mic, suggesting that someone was going to come speak.
~~Katy~~ Katy saw Aramina and decided to find a seat far from her - it wasn't hard, most people were sitting well away from her snyway, in the centre of the room.

Miriam sat down, not caring where she sat down... One room to another, always rooms... She sighed.
